Captain’s Meeting (Mandatory)
All Team Captains must attend the meeting on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 6:00 PM to collect gear, race bibs, and receive last-minute course and wildlife updates.

Role of the Team Captain
Being a Team Captain is a big responsibility — but with planning and communication, it’s one of the most rewarding parts of the Banff Jasper Relay.
Captains coordinate travel, logistics, safety, and communication for both their runners and support crew.
Accommodations & Race-Day Logistics
Lake Louise – South Phase Teams

Book accommodation in or near the Lake Louise Inn for the Friday evening before race day.

Advise participants to book early using the “Banff Jasper Relay Participants” group block.

South-phase runners will start from Castle Mountain Junction at 7:00 AM on Saturday.
Saskatchewan River Crossing – North Phase Teams

North-phase runners should stay at or near The Crossing Resort on Friday night before race day.

Race begins at 7:00 AM on Saturday.
Jasper – Finish & Celebration

Recommended hotels: Tonquin Inn, Maligne Lodge, or other Jasper accommodations.

If Jasper is sold out, the nearest available lodging is in Hinton (approx. 1 hr drive).
Travel Recommendations

Plan to be in Lake Louise, Alberta by 4:00 PM on Friday with your North Phase captain.

If flying, arrive in Calgary by Friday at noon and rent vehicles for team logistics and runner transport.
Race-Day Details
South Runners
-
Arrive at Castle Mountain Junction by 6:30 AM.

The South Phase starts at 7:00 AM.

Stage 2 runners board the bus to their start at Baker Creek.

High-visibility vests are mandatory for all runners.
North Runners

Arrive at The Crossing Resort by 6:30 AM to receive bibs and gear from your Team Captain.

The North Phase starts at 7:00 AM.
Post-Race Celebration
Saturday, June 6 | 6:00 PM – Midnight Jasper Activity Centre — 303 Bonhomme Street, Jasper AB T0E 1E0
Celebrate your team’s accomplishment with dinner, music, and fun!

Dinner served: 6:00 – 8:00 PM (please bring your tickets)

Tickets at the door: $25 each (non-runners)

Children under 12: free

Available only for race participants, friends, and family — not open to the public.
